Launching a Cannabis Brand From the Ground Up
Branding · Website · Marketing Strategy · Social Media · Email Marketing · Print · Event Marketing
Potter's Cannabis Boutique & Farm came to ThrivePOP as a new cannabis business preparing to launch its dispensary and cultivation operation. They needed more than a logo and a website. They needed a complete marketing foundation that could introduce the brand, tell its story, connect with the community, and create a consistent experience across every customer touchpoint.
ThrivePOP helped bring that vision to life, from the brand identity and website to packaging, social media, email marketing, events, and the systems connecting it all.
The Challenge
Potter's Cannabis Boutique was built around a deeply personal story. Owner Corey Potter founded the business with his late son, Jalen, who was his first partner in the venture. Jalen's passion for photography became an important part of the brand's story, creating an opportunity to build an identity that felt personal, authentic, and rooted in the people behind the business.
At the same time, Potter's needed to launch as a credible, polished cannabis brand with the digital presence and marketing infrastructure to support a new dispensary and farm.
Solution
ThrivePOP developed a complete go-to-market strategy for Potter's Cannabis, bringing branding, web development, marketing, and creative together under one cohesive direction. We created the visual identity, launched the website, developed packaging and merchandise, established social media and email marketing, supported events, and connected platforms including SpringBig and Dutchie.
The result was a brand built not just to launch, but to grow.

A Brand Built Around a Story
Potter's Cannabis needed a logo that could capture the personal story behind the business without sacrificing versatility. ThrivePOP developed a stylized illustration inspired by a well-known self-portrait of Jalen holding his camera, using the camera lens as a central visual element within the identity.
We built the rest of the visual system around that foundation, establishing brand colors and typography that could translate across digital, print, packaging, merchandise, and signage.
Building the Digital Foundation
With no established digital presence to build from, ThrivePOP designed and developed Potter's website as a central hub for the new business. The site gave customers a place to learn about Potter's, explore its products, connect with the brand, and take the next step toward visiting the dispensary.
We also built the digital infrastructure around the website, including SEO and integrations designed to connect the customer experience with the systems Potter's uses to manage its business.
Carrying the identity into the real world.
A new cannabis brand needs to work beyond the screen. ThrivePOP extended Potter's visual identity into packaging, merchandise, business cards, signage, and other physical customer touchpoints.
Each application gave the brand another opportunity to become recognizable while creating a cohesive experience from the first interaction to the dispensary.
Giving Potter's a voice in the community.
ThrivePOP established Potter's social media presence with content designed to introduce the brand, tell its story, educate customers, and build familiarity ahead of and following the dispensary launch.
We also developed email marketing to create a direct line to customers, giving Potter's another channel to communicate products, promotions, events, and updates.
Connecting the Customer Journey
Launching the brand meant more than creating individual marketing pieces. ThrivePOP helped connect the systems behind the customer experience, including SpringBig and Dutchie, so marketing and customer engagement could work together more effectively.
From the website and SEO to email, social media, events, and in-store experiences, each piece supported the larger go-to-market strategy.
The Results
ThrivePOP developed Potter's email and SMS marketing to give the brand a direct line to its customers. Campaigns combined promotions, product updates, events, and timely messaging with custom creative designed to drive engagement and keep Potter's top of mind.
The strategy helped turn email and SMS into ongoing customer touchpoints, giving Potter's a consistent way to communicate beyond the dispensary.
